Coconut Prawns Recipe Kit

A lovely lightly spiced curry, popular in parts of India where prawns and coconuts are common, like Goa and Bengal. The creamy coconut goes beautifully with prawns but can also be replaced by meat or vegetables. The fragrant spices add warmth and satisfaction to this dish. A quick and easy choice for a very busy day.


Spice Pack: Jeera, Coriander, Tumeric.

Chilli Powder: Kasmiri Chilli.

Ginger & Garlic Paste: Ginger, Garlic.

Fried Onions: Onions, Vegetable Oil

SERVE: With Naan Bread or Basmati Rice

Recipe (For Internal use): 20g spice pack includes one spoon each, Cumin, Coriander, Turmeric, Kashmiri chilli, 25g ginger and garlic pack

Prep List

You will need the following:


  • 500g Large raw peeled Pawns
  • 100g tomato paste
  • 400ml coconut milk
  • Handful of Fresh chopped Coriander
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbs Vegetable oil or cooking oil of choice



  1. Heat the oil in a medium sized pan and add the Garlic and ginger paste
  2. Saute the garlic and ginger carefully for about 2 minutes until golden brown
  3. Place the prawns and cook for 5 mins until it is white
  4. Time to put in the Spice pack, Pre fried onion and tomato paste

 Salt as per your preference.

  1. Cook for 10 minutes on a slow heat whilst stirring regularly
  2. Add the Coconut milk and mix well
  3. Cook for another 10 minutes on a medium heat
  4. Garnish with fresh chopped Coriander leaves
  5. Serve and enjoy.
